I’ve been having fun for years without mods or custom downloaded content but recently had an itch to expand my design possibilities. If it helps, at one point I did delete the app from my laptop (probably 2021ish) and then re downloaded it from my App Store purchases a few weeks ago (sims 2 is a drug I just can’t quit.) I wonder if I deleted the necessary folders and they just didn’t get added back? Who knows. Am I just unable to add custom downloaded content because it’s a Mac app instead of an actual download? Or did I do something wrong (highly likely, lol) I tried downloading Aspyr’s The Sims 2 extras package installer and that isn’t work either. I do not have a folder in documents > ea > the sims 2 > Downloads like I’ve seen. Everything I’m reading refers to a downloads folder but I can’t find it anywhere. I want to download custom content but I’m struggling to figure out how to make it work. I’ve never had an actual disc (well, I did many moons ago when I was a kid with a PC…).
Hi! I have the Sims 2 super collection from the mac store on my laptop (purchased in 2014). I will be really thankful for some advice on how to get The Sims running! I don't know what to do.Īnd I'm sorry if I made a mistake or something isn't clear here - English is not my first language. It found the TSBin folder but it can't find the The Sims 2 app there and I don't know why.
I also downloaded Graphic Rules Maker and there comes another problem - it couldn't find the game. Then I tried to fix the game by downloading 4GB fix - i did everything like the guide said, so I don't think the problem lays there. And then i tried again and again and the same thing happend over and over.
I clicked on it, the disc started spinning but after 10 minutes white window with The Sims 2 logo on it dissapeared. I decided to install the base game (4 discs), everything went okay and all and then i wanted to run the game.
I recently purchased The Sims 2 and some EP's on discs.
